MASTERING PHYSICS

How to access Mastering Physics (MP):

If you choose to buy the NEW text from the Hartnell College bookstore, the access
code is in the package. You can also buy it separately from the bookstore. If you chose to purchase a used book, you can buy instant the access with a
credit card or PayPal account.

To sign up for MP:
Go to this link and follow the directions given.

Problem-Solving Format for Exams

  • Be neat. Use one side of paper only. Engineering paper is optional but preferred.
  • Draw diagram(s) using colored pencils labeling “knowns” and “unknowns.”
  • Organize information in a table indicating “knowns” and “unknowns.”
  • Show the basic equations used in symbol form that reflect the main concepts
  • Substitute numbers and solve the equations
  • Highlight or box in the answers

    Hello Fellow Classmates!

I came across an article about the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics discovering gravitational waves. Finding these “gravitational waves” means more evidence to explain the Big Bang Theory. Even if you don’t agree with this theory, it’s important to recognize this discovery as a big milestone in science.
